the year that was
year 2006 has been a crazy year for me! i laughed hard, cried hard, partied hard, worked super hard, learned a lot, went out a lot, and did so much more!here are the highlights of the past year:
1. wow philippines!
travel is my middle name. the past year has been an adventure for me, for i had gone to so many places: (those marked with * are places i have gone to for the first time)

2. sports
i was forced to get into cardiovascular activities due to my increasing weight because of sitting around and eating the whole day at the office. so i tried badminton (which i am doing until now), jogging (wherein we stopped since the rainy season), going to the gym (which i also stopped). i also tried ice skating (wherein i didnt let go of the side railings the whole time hahaha) and wall climbing (coolness! but i still have to get over my fears) so ngyn badminton nalang ang natira, and i really enjoy doing it (altho i suck at it big tym hahahah)
maybe i should try swimming next tym.... yeah right!
3. big responsibilities at work
when i thought last year's BCS project was my bapstism of fire at work, i was wrong! this year marks my role as a functional analyst due to the PLDT HR project. countless ot's and working in boni has been my life for the latter half of the year. i broke my 145am record. i stayed overnyt at the office until around 930am, went home, took a bath, ate, then went back to the office. we have so much work to do in such a short span of time, and we are still currently doing a lot of stuff. this is fun also since i get to learn a lot, but these past few days the pressure and stress are building up on me, and im starting to get burnt out. i really hope this project would be done and over with so that i could go back to makati and i could be with the team again
4. xmas parties
xmas parties are always a joy for me. esp this year where the pressure is off our backs and it's time to enjoy the newbies presentation at the it xmas party. all i can say is they rock! this party was fun because i was able to stay the whole time (unlie last year) so i got to enjoy it.
for the smart xmas party, the presentations were nice too. congrats to the it team for winning 2nd place! we were also very happy with the announcement. ang nakakasad lng is late na kme nakartng dahl sa work, at bmalik kme ng ofc after for our overighter (refer to item #3)
for the s15 xmas party, well, it just turned into a dinner since only a few people were able to come. but it was still fun :)
5. moving
this april we moved to midtown. at first i was really sad that we had to leave tondo coz it was so accessible for a commuter like me, and we were near tutuban. however as the time passed by i learned to enjoy midtown, and i enjoyed the preparations also. i have a sofa bed and a full length mirror! yun nga lang on saturdays malungkot sa haus kasi feelng ko ang laki nya tapos wala namang tao. pero ok lng din kc mas malapit kami ngayon sa makati, at hnd traffic pag xmas :)
6. eula moving
this is a sad moment for me, coz i consider eula as one of my closest friends. she went to the states last april, at nawalan ako ng tag team at ka-couple :( i really miss her....
7. sab leaving
sab will try out her options in china... all i can wish her is the best, and i really hope she'll have peace of mind....
8. ofcmates leaving
there have been a lot of resignations, esp from my batch. from 10, now we are only 4. kya na nga bumuo ng monthly calendar and mga reisgnees namin. its really sad coz most of the people who left are close to me, but i know that they are happy with their decisions. besides, blooming cla! pero i really miss them....
9. realizing my worth and feelng special :)
good things come to those who wait. fate has a better plan, it just takes time. sometimes we have to let go of certain things to be able to receive something better. and sometimes worth it dn pla to get hurt, coz in the end magiging masaya ka rn :)
