bora 2009
like i always do every year, i spent the labor day long weekend in bora!
thur:
early morning palang it was raining na :( i was so scared coz 1) baka umulan the whole weekend sa bora and 2) zest air (aka asian spirit) ang sakay namin (you know what they say, you fly asian, you land a spirit)
we arrived early at the airport and was harrassed by the stupid rules of zest air about the owner of the credit card having to show the credit card used to purchase the tickets online even if s/he was part of the travelling party. like wtf is that? sabi nila to avoid fraud daw. e heller? nagpakita naman ng id yung tao, which reflects the same name on the credit card. ano pa bang gusto nila? sa ibang airlines di naman ganyan. good thing LC had a photocopy of the ID and the credit card! kundi nadeny check in pa kami!
so tagal namin intay sa airport. tapos nadelay pa ang flight! oh no!!! we waited and after 30-45 mins nakaboard narin sa wakas!
after a slighty rocky ride, we were able to reach bora after 50mins. it was not raining there! :D:D:D
we arrived at seabird int'l resort and checked in first. then late lunch kami sa ti braz. hati kami ni LC sa combination of soup and crepe. cya sa soup (french onion soup) at akos a crepe (sausage crepe) the soup was good :D medyo maalat nga lang. the crepe was so-so
after that rest muna sandali then swim na kami ni LC sa beach. ang lakas ng alon dahil malakas ang hangin! tapos ang taas ng water level! ang disadvantage lang is dirty yung beach dahil nga naalon yung mga twigs at kahoy kahoy :(
after swim ligo then dinner na at the thai restau sa dmall. we had the tom yum soup and yello chicken curry :) then dessert at halowich. inorder ko ung coffee shake nila, yummy!!! masarap din ung order ni Lc na soft serve ice cream with mangoes and strawberry syrup :)
we tried to walk along the beach looking for nightlife, pero ang dilim at halos walang tao. 1st tym ko nakitang ganon ang bora. so balik nalang kami hotel at natulog
fri:
makulimlim parin. woke up early morning to swim (at para magpictorial!) ang saya ng pictorial namin ahhaha!!!
after swim nagbfast lang kami then punta kami ng LC sa talipapa to buy her souveneirs. then we were supposed to parasail, pero ang daming tao tapos parating na ang dark clouds. so tambay muna kami at some cafe in dmall. at umulan nga ng malakas!!! hay grabe!
nung tumila yung ulan natuloy narin ang parasailing namin. grabe since nag lakas ng alon, nakakatakot yung speedboat ride papunta dun sa gitna ng dagat where we would ride the parasailing boat! tapos wala pa kami lifevest!!! napamura tlga ko!!! finally nakarating narin kami ng parasailing boat, ayan may lifevest na buti naman. tapos parasailing. scaree cya pag biglang parang lumuluwang ung tali at bababa ka... tapos umulan pa dun at mahangin, so nakakatakot talaga!!! humihinga nalang ako ng malalim to calm myself down. after 15 mins binaba na kami nila manong at balik island na kami, at hilong hilo nako nun!
swim swim lang kami ulit then dinner at true food. ang anghang ng mga food! puro gulay pa hahahah. then ligo kami then go out. tambay lang kami sa paraw pero d kami nakadance dahil pangit ang music hahah. uminom lang sila hehehe
sat:
woke up early ulit para magswim. nagpictorial kami ulit cympre ni LC hahaha! we discovered the new resort sa station 1, yung ambassador. nice place!
after pictorial we went back to the hotel and had bfast, then lumabas to check out the nestle dodge the pop event hosted by magic 89.9. bago kami nakaratng sa dodgeball, dmaan muna kami sa booths ng smart event. aba si LC kinarir hahah!!! ginawa lahat ng activities! from guitar hero to videoke to wall climbing! natuwa nga s knya ung isang guy na nagvivideo kasi talagang todo birit sa videoke! at 100 ang score ni LC!!! dapat nga babalik cya ng 3pm para sa finals kaso di na cya pwd kasi uwi na cya nun hahaha
then sinilip namin ung event ng magic. sakto andun c andi 9 sa likod nakaupo so nagpapic kami with her :) she's super nice!!! nakipagsemi-chika pa samin :D
after that balik na resort, ayos gamit, then lunch at ole. ang sarap ng paella!!!! then hatid na namin LC sa likod para smakay ng tryk.. :( then hinanap namin ang real coffee pero d namin nakita :( then nagshake nalng muna sa jonas!
nung from station 1 pabalik ng seabird, napadaan kami ulit ng dodgeball. nagpapic me with sam yg, mojo jojo, and marc nelson!!!!! waaah super happee!! i even told my photographer na pag kukunan kami ng pic ni marc eh isama nya ang abs hahaha!! tapos malapit sa red coconut nakita namin si jon avila so nagpapic dn me! saya so many artistas in a span of a few minutes!
next is punta na kami plazoleta (to check out the century tuna event). pagdatng namin dun nagpaapck up na!!! grabe!! wala na kami naabutan :(:(:( so bmalik nalang kami station 1 para swim at tambay. after that dinner at backyard bbq sa dmall. i ordered chicken bbq, lambot at yummy!
whole eating umuulan! so after that balik kami room and wait for 12. eh kaso umuulan parin eh tnatamad na mga kasama ko so d na kami lumabas para gumimik :(( joven was kind enough to offer na sunduin ako at smama sa gimik nila, pero sabi ko wag nalang heheh
sun:
i woke up early at naglakad lakad sa beach magisa (i miss LC :( ) taos tambay sa jonas at nagshake. then balik sa room to change then balik ulit sa beach to swim. then bfast and rest na sa room the whole afternoon hahaha! then nagmeet up kami sa jonas at nagshake nanaman! then lakad to station 1 at nagpicture ng konti! (for once may sunset!!! actually, for once may sun!!!!) then lakad lang to station 3 and back. had dinner at big mouth. we had porterhouse and teriyaki chicken. sarap!!! after that back to room and sleep dahil next day early flight pa kami
overall naenjoy ko naman ung bora esp since dami artista! :D pero bitin lang kasi d ako nakagimik :( kaya kelangan ko gumimik dito sa manila!
rainy days are made of these
commute yesterday going home was such a hassle. since it rained the whole day which caused traffic, i opted to take the mrt route going home. in the 1st place i really don't want to ride the mrt and lrt during rush hour because i know na marami akong makakasabay na tao. but since i didn't want rin naman to be stuck in traffic in buendia, no choice ako but to take the other route.
so i left office at around 6pm, arrived in the mrt ayala station at around 620. line for the tickets was short, pero yung line papasok mismo ng station na is grabe!!! ang haba!! paikot na ung pila!!! since nakabili nako ng ticket, tiniis ko nalang ung ang init at haba ng pila :( nakakainis pa may tumutulak sa likod. aba d talaga ako pumapayag tatayo talaga ako para bumunggo sakin yung nasa likod ko. after cgro mga 10 mins nakapasok narin ako, ang luckily sakto pagbaba ko may train na kagad. pasara narin cya so tinakbo ko nlng
then lrt naman. in fairness walang pila sa tickets at papasok. sakto rin pagpasok ko eh may train kagad. nung nakaabang na kami sa pinto, may tao sa gilid ko sumisingit. medyo siniko ko ata ahhaha
after lrt last ride, tryk. ok lang dn kasi pagdating ko papuno narin yung tryk so nakaalis na kagad.
finally arrived home at around 710pm
grabe harrassful talaga ang mrt lrt! d ko na nga nasamahan si mama maglakad-lakad dahil pagod nako paguwi. in fairness natututo nakong sumiko dahil sa kakulitan ng mga pasahero hahaah!!!
guamazing holy week
i had such an amazing time this recent holy week in guam with my extended family! (ahia benson, achie gene, achi susan, achie vian, sol, mark, kyle)
wed:
we boarded flight pr110 bound for guam wed night. grabe ang strict pala nila pag Us-bound. after the 1st inspection after immigration, may another inspection nanaman before going to the gate! while waiting at the airport, there was an announcement that the flight is facing deinial in boarding because it was overbooked! WTF?!!?!? kala ko cebu pac lang yun! pati pala PAL! nakailang announce din sila like 5 times offering people the same flight but on friday instead, and 3,000pesos or free hotel accommodation. parang kami "kung $3,000 yan kukunin namin!" anyway, medyo nalate ng onti sa boarding, at nakalipad din. ang sarap ng feeling na may unan, kumot, and food sa plane wahahah! (palibhasa cheap flights kasi kinukuha ko lagi ahaah!) ung food pa ang dessert namin ice cream! yummy!
thur:
after almost 4 hours, we arrived in guam airport at around 4am (2am here in the phils). the van of pacific island club with a filipino driver picked us up. we checked in and called it a night. i woke up the next day at around 9am and took a bath. since my roomies were still sleeping (and because im so excited to check out the resort), i decided to look around and take pictures :D the resort is so nice! there are so many things to do! and they have a lot of pools! i passed by their trampoline place and saw a kid playing. e nainggit ako, so naglaro din ako hahah! sa simula nakakatakot pero after a while masaya na siya!!! then balik nako ng room.
after ready na lahat, bumaba na kami to swim. first time ko natry ang waterslide! laugh trip kasi after ko magslide pagbagsak ko sa water padyak ako ng padyak hoping na lumutang ako. tapos bigla ko naapakan ung floor ng pool. 4 feet nga lang pala yung pool hahaha! at nakalimutan ko na wala pala akong lifevest! kaya pala d ako lumulutang kahit pumapadyak ako waahahahha!!!
after that d na muna ako ulit nagslide. once is enough hahah! nagkayak din kami sa may lagoon ng resort saya!
then we had lunch at the rock and roll cafe of the resort. we ordered 2 whole pizzas, 1 fish and chips, 1 clubhouse, 1 burger. grabe ang laki pala ng servings! as in pinilit namin ubusin! lesson of the day: don't order too much! btw, pinoy dn ang mga servers ng restau
after lunch nagswim ata ulit kami, then went outside to go shopping! 1st stop is the Duty Free Galleria. langya sabi nila walang tax sa guam, e yun pala naka-tuck in na yung tax sa presyo ng mga bilihin! kaya pala ang mahal! tapos puro high end shops pa yung nasa DFS, so wala rin ako nabili.
we had dinner at mcdo since the kids were already hungry from waiting. i had the crispy chicken club, which is a crispy chicken burger with bacon, cheese, and mayo in wheat bread. ang sarap!!! nakikain din ako ng fries (na large as in large talaga!!!), and darigold milk chocolate drink. ang drinks sa mcdo dun parang sa BK, refillable!
after dinner lakad patapat sa kabilang mall, outrigger. shopping ulit sandali, then punta na kami K Mart! ang saya sa K Mart ang daming chocolates!!! dami ko nabili na wala dito sa pinas!!! inabot din ata kami ng past 12 before kami umuwi. yung taxi pa na sinakyan namin pinoy dn ang nagmamaneho. sabi nya puro pinoy nga talaga sa guam
fri:
woke up early so that we can maximize the activities the resort has to offer. hobie cat sailing at 930am, snorkeling at 10am, and windsurfing lessons at 11am. sikat ako sa class namin! all my classmates managed to do the standing position in 1 try, samantalang ako nalaglag pa at may 2nd attempt pa! pano ba naman no, yung pagbuhat palang ng sail ang hirap na! ang bigat nya!!!! pero it was super fun!!! when it was time to hit the beach to windsurf on our own, di talaga ako successful dahil fickle ang wind, lalakas, hihina, galing sa likod, galing sa harap, kaya umupo nalang ako a board hahaha!
then while waiting for the others, nagpicture taking muna kami sa isang pool na may mga props na animals. laugh trip si sol nadulas dun sa hippo!
we then has lunch at the restau sa tapat ng resort, jamaican grill. we had salad, steak, ribs, chicken, rice, and ice cream.
sarap ng food nila!! at ang laki nung family size nila!
after lunch we hurried back to PIC since we had archery lessons by 3pm. ang hrap pala! nung una short ang mga tira ko, kulang pala ako sa pull. nung huli medyo ok na. nakatama ako ng color red!!! woohoo!! after that dapat magchallenge park pa kami, kaso mas gs2 na ng mga tao umalis para magshop wahahahah
this time naman sa micronesia mall kami nagpunta. dito may nabili na me, pero puro food parin hahaha! altho may nabili me isang purse at plates and bowls, pero the rest food na. then dinner at denny's. sarap ng fish nila saka fried chicken! after dinner uwi na muna to rest since napagod talaga kami dat day! aba pagpalit ko ng damit ang hapdi na ng shoulders ko! sunog tlga huhuhuh! nung una akala ko kakabuhat ng bag kaya sumakit, yun pala sunburn :( kaya di rin ako makatulog ng side view dahil masakit :(

outside day. meaning d kami tatambay sa resort.
we woke up early to go to the flea market. puro pinoy ang mga nagbebenta, at parang puro 168 products and bnebenta hahah! wala ka tlgang mabili dun, mas naenjoy ko pa ang pagpicture sa ibat ibang subjects duon. altho nakabili me spam less than 100pesos hahah
then we went back to the resort. we rented a van since it would be cheaper than riding a cab (flag down is $2+, ang bilis pa ng patak ng metro). 1st stop is the two lovers' point. ang ganda ng place! may namit pa kami dun na marines at isa dun pinoy! yung egoy kapal muks eh! ung isa may itsura green eyes! sabi nila lahat daw cla parang incentive 2 wks sa guam! (kala ko ba economic crisis na sa amerika!?!??!!?)
anyway after nun lunch muna kami sa King's. ok ung fried rice nila masarap, ung iba so so lng. after nun pnta kami ng chamorro village. bmli me ng guam chocolate ang sarap! pero ang mahal! then pinuntahan namin ung statue of liberty na pinahirapan kaming hanapin! at pagdating namin dun, aba ang liit lang pala! langya yan o! nevertheless, maganda naman ang view ng dagat, at nagjump shots kami!
then punta na kami ng Guam Premier Outlet! this is my moment! we went to Ross Dress for Less. nakakalokah!!!! ang daming damit!!!! at mura pa!!! gosh nahilo ako pero super fun! cgro 3 batches kami ng fitting (8 pcs at a time lang kasi). nakabili me ng 1 nine west bag, 4 summer dresses, 2 formall dress, at 1 pang-office. ang saya saya!
nagutom nako so bumaba muna ako food court at bmli sa kfc. hati kami ni sol sa tender roast sandwich at fries at chamoro punch. masarap silang lahat!! at may free refill pa kami ng punch! :D:D:D
then punta nine west naman! nakabili me ng 1 stiletto, 1 sandals na casual (50% off), at 1 cute green bag (on sale din)! wheeee!!!
then dinner na sa food court. nagorder kami ng buffalo chicken sandwich ni sol at chamorro punch ulit! then daan kami california mart, nakabili nanaman me ng groceries hahaha!
then 2nd round at K Mart! may nabili parin me hahaha!

last day in guam :( we had lunch at shirley's, ang kanilang famous chinese restau. all i can say is, mas masarap parin sa ongpin! ang tatabang kaya ng pagkain sa shirleys :(
after that GPO part 2! ross kami ulit ni sol, at nakabili ako ng isang medyo semi-formal na dress at 1 bag na nine west ulit :D after balik na kami ng resort.
since we had time to spare, nag-gun shooting kami ni sol sa katapat na US Gun Club. $30 for 24 na bala, 357 na gun ang gamit. ang saya!!! isa lang bulls eye ko na medyo nasa gilid part, pero in fairness pasok naman sa numbers ang mga tira ko! then archery kami ulit! pero mdyo olats ako this time hahaha! after archery nagtrampoline na kaming lahat! laugh trip sa boys kasi mas masakit un for them kaysa sa girls waahahahah! ung guide naman natatawa sakin kasi para akong nagpipictorial habang tumatalon hahaha! after that swimming nalang kami, at yung iba naglaro ng handball.
then wash up na kami then dinner at a japanese restau nearby. ang sarap ng food!! yummy ung fried chicken! saka ung curry noodles! panalo!!!
then pnta na kami ng underwater world, kaso d kami pmasok kasi mahal, so nagslot machine nlng kami nung penny na tinuturn into a shape thing, bsta yun! taos kain sa hagen daz, then K Mart for the last tym (na may nabili parin ako hahah!) then balik na ng resort

say goodbye to guam :( nakakalokah ang check in ng baggage sa airport! talagang posible for physical inspection. ung akin nga binuksan eh. pero ok lng naman. then kain muna kami sa airport. i had chicken from dominos and BK kasi gusto ko matry lahat hahahah! kaya yung food sa plane onti lng knain ko. we arrived in manila around 745am at diretso nako sa ofc
ang saya sa guam, mainly because we stayed in PIC. nakakalokah nga lang weather dun, ang lakas ng hangin kahit maaraw, tapos biglang uulan for a few minutes, then biglang taas nanaman ng araw. but it was fun :D sayang nga lang under maintenance ung submarine, kundi kumpleto na sana guam experience ko
fun weekend!
had one of the best weekends ever!
sat i met up with mia on megamall to help her with her black formal outfit scouting. the mrt ride was horrible, there was a long queue for the tickets, and the mrt's aircon was busted. when i arrived in megamall i was kinda dizzy already. good thing i passed by Red Mango and had a brilliant idea! frozen yogurt to cool me down! i bought the regular with hersheys choco chips for topping. it was yummy! the yogurt didn't taste sour at all! i love it! one of the best yogurts i've ever had!
since i arrived earlier than scheduled in megamall, i decided to shop for bikinis for my beach trips :) i was able to buy 2, 1 from Mint and 1 from Cinderella!
then mia arrived and we went to look for her gown. then we met up with joanne at the taxi stand so we could go together to mark's place for mia's rockband bday party :D it was soooo fun!!! in fairness to me, i think i did better at guitar this time because of some practice in FoF hahah! mia ordered pizza for us (thanks mia!) and mark prepared spaghetti for us also! (thanks mark!) we chattered during dinner and laughed and laughed, and played rockband again til past 9 when i had to go home already since i have a run the next day
sun i woke up early (before 5am) for the condura run. jon picked me up at around 510 and we headed to bonifacio global city. then we met up with aimee and headed to the start off point. after 58 mins we were able to finish the 5k course! then we had picture taking with some of the jollibee mascots, then we drove thru jollibee to buy bfast. we drove aimee home and we went home and slept hahah!
then i had lunch with family on RP, then went home to watch some tv, then went to glorietta with jon. i was able to buy a new bikini again hehehe! then at around 6pm i walked from glorietta 5 to greenbelt 5 for dinner with the meryenda buddies :D we had dinner at the terrace at 5th, where the food was expensive but with small servings. i enjoyed the 12hour roast pork and the chimichuri. the fish was okay. but the pasta was terrible not because of the taste, but because of the super minimal serving
joan came when we were done with dinner, so we moved to bizu for dessert. chikahan parin until around 9pm, then we called it a night :D
i'ma miss this...
may pasok nanaman bukas :(
super mamimiss ko tong long holiday na to.... sleeping late, waking up late, not knowing what day of the week it is, watching film fest movies, long tambay at jon's house, eat outs, tv all day, and of course, no work!!! waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh :((
can't wait for wed night! para bakasyon mode ulit hahahaha!
the year that was
it's the start of a new year again! the past year's highlight was travel. since i had my passport renewedlast jan, of course i had to use it! (actually excuse ko lang yun for the international travel hahahah!!!) thank you to cebu pac for the cheap international flights! 5 countries in one year! that's on top of the local trips pa.

jan: el nido. thanks to del and des for informing us of the promo. el nido is my fave local destination to date =) parang señorita ang treatment nila sayo! everything's taken cared of for you, no hidden charges pagdatng dun. wala ka na gagastusin! tapos buffet bfast, lunch, dinner! and ang daming activities na pwedeng gawin! kayak, rock climbing, hobbie cat sailing, etc. panalo talaga!!!
march: dakak. nice beach!
march: bangkok. shopping baby!!! divisoria x10! super cheap little miss shirts, and the food trip!!! and cute elephants!!! hihihi
april: dumaguete. maalon considering summer! sarap ng food trip esp the sylvannas!
april: subic. mia's bday treat for us! the zoo was ok. i looooove go kart and zip line!
may: bora. the annual bora. reef walker's the coolest thing!
august: singapore and malaysia. it was rainy. good thing we were able to go around the city. shopping galore!!! bought lots of footwear and bags. luge and songs of the sea rocks! and siyempre hoarding the royce!!!!
october: macau and hongkong. disneyland weeeeeeeee :D:D:D macau is a photo op haven! ang daming magagandang sites! esp fisherman's wharf and venetian.
october: camsur. fun fun fun! altho knee board lang nagawa ko hahaha! next tym wakeboard na talaga!
december: iloilo and guimaras. thanks a lot to josette and ken for being our local hosts! food trip parin! and bitterscotch buying! hahaha!
december: pangasinan. with jon and his uncle's friends. the beach was awful. good thing the people are so fun to be with kaya enjoy parin :D
grabe i actually tried to account the costs, but i stopped na midway hahah! never the mind na lang, basta nag-enjoy naman ako :) but i'm planning on lessening my trips to save up for a bigger trip - NYC!!!!

i had so much fun during our team xmas party. as always, it is the most fun out of all the 3 parties that we have for the year (1 for the team, 1 for it, and 1 for the entire smart). super kwela yung mga newbies, and cympre d rin naman papatalo yung mga seasoned ones (which include me heheh) sports fest, fun games, and videoke!
sa it xmas party fun din kasi we won 2 awards (whopeee!!!) compared to last year na ni isa wala! big improvement! saka ang ganda ng performance ng nwebies namin! i'm so proud of them!!!!
smart xmas party na later. i'm still contemplating kung pupunta pako hahaha!
